How?
The experience of working with horses requires a relationship with another being. It requires an acute awareness of boundaries-yours and theirs-as well as skill in interpreting body language. Interacting with horses requires obtaining permission to lead and demonstrating a willingness to follow. Such a relationship demands courage as well as vulnerability. Most importantly, the horse requires authentic communication. Twenty minutes in the round pen with a horse will take these powerful, insightful concepts off the page, out of your head, and anchor them into your entire being.

Equine Assisted Coach Training through The Way of the Horse 2010!
This is a 9-month commitment
(Beginning May 1, 2010 - completing November 10, 2010)

Here's what's included

16 ½ day Virtual Coaching Classes and Master Mind

Four half days per month, we will meet virtually as a group for coaching learning intensives.  In these classes we will cover ICF core competencies, MetaSystem Consulting Group Multi-Level Systemic Coaching model, peer coaching and supervision from us. They also serve as a Master Mind and provide a powerful thread of learning and relationship throughout your coaching journey. All calls will be recorded.  We will then take the classroom learning into the experiential setting of working with the horses.
Four - 3 day intensives with the horses in NY, Florida or Belgium for the Euro Program.

The Equine Assisted Coaching Program is a deep journey of self-exploration and transformational learning. In addition to classroom and group process work, our equine coaches help us develop new competencies in working with and relating to others, exercising mind-body awareness, non-verbal communication, assertiveness, creativity, and leadership skills.
During these weeks you will experience your own authenticity through the way of the horse, delve into the heart of your practice and connect it to the basics and complexities of ICF Core Coaching, master-mind and play, receive and celebrate the emergence of your Authentic Equine Assisted Coaching Self.
Private coaching

You will receive one 30-minute Kick-off session with us before the first week of the program. This will be to establish some of your initial goals, challenges and expectations. Then we meet for 2- 45-minute private coaching sessions; once as a mid-course check in and further along in the course to ensure your personal goals.  These sessions are designed to reinforce what you experience in the group sessions and provide a private, confidential space to help you process and move forward with whatever needs to happen next for you personally.
3 supervised peer-to-peer coaching calls

Participants will receive 3 private supervised sessions with an ICF Certified Coach during the program.  This private, individual feedback on your coaching is a fast track to proficiency. 
Practice in equine assisted coaching

Each program includes design and delivery of private and group equine assisted coaching sessions. We want you to fully experience all aspects of Equine Assisted Coaching! These individual and group sessions include group supervision and are a powerful jump start to your business upon program completion.

Being on time and prepared for private coaching sessions
Attending the monthly topic calls
Completing 4 active round pen sessions and 4 reflective round pen sessions outside the on-site program before graduation
Private coaching with an ICF Certified Coach outside of the program
Six months of post graduate supervision
Supporting the other participants with your full attention (hold the space for their personal growth, connect with them, offer honest feedback)
Refraining from multi-tasking during calls
Authenticity, honesty and speaking up for what you need and want
Keeping us informed of any personal situations that may interfere with your experience of the program

Your Commitment Includes:
Confidentiality is crucial in this program.

As your coaches, we will maintain a highly confidential environment. However, in the case of a legal request we, and our representatives, cannot hold confidentiality as we do not have a doctor/client privilege. If information you share with us is sufficiently "illegal" or "dangerous-to-oneself-or-others", we will consult an attorney in order to determine whether or not to notify authorities. If information you share with us creates an uncomfortable feeling for us, or steps outside of our ethics and integrity base, we will let you know and may terminate the coaching relationship.

For you and your program colleagues, it is essential to maintain a space of confidentiality and non-disclosure. You must commit to not disclosing any information about any participant in any way outside of the group. You must also commit to not using private or sensitive trade secrets that a participant shares for your own gain. You may connect with an individual directly and obtain permission in writing to determine the "classification or sensitivity" of their ideas and programs for your own usage with their written permission only.
Payment:
You agree to pay according to the payment schedule you select if accepted into the program.
Commitment and Termination:
Equine Assisted Coach Training Through the Way of the Horse! is a 9-MONTH commitment. If for any reason you choose not to continue, or stop participating, you will continue to be liable for the fees of this program.

Coaching is a powerful process and at times, you may feel "up against a wall" or as if something isn't working. This is often a perfect sign that you are releasing obstacles and limiting beliefs. Our request is that any and all concerns regarding assignments and coaching be addressed with us so we can be the best coach to you and assure the coaching relationship is in integrity. We will work together to make sure your needs are met.
